There is an opportunity to connect, attract and retain tech talent within organizations of all sizes in Baltimore. The city is dedicated to creating career paths for our youth and providing them tools for a successful future.
This is the town that dedicate significant effort to bring up the youth of Baltimore City to build the future. We live in a time where automation is changing the workforce as we know it. Traditional manual labor opportunities are being replaced by high tech opportunities. Let’s build the ecosystem to provide guidance and prepare the next generation for the future.
With many job opportunities requiring prior experience, it can be challenging for those entering the IT profession to get started and gain the experience needed to demonstrate and develop their abilities. By providing real world experience, Hack Baltimore is helping to fulfill this critical need in a unique way and grow the pipeline of skilled IT professionals in Baltimore City.
Baltimore is a unique and vibrant city, and though there are many reasons why we’re called “Charm City”, we tend to make the news for our flaws rather than our strengths. And hackathons are a great way to engage the broader community to explore technology as a way to help solve them.
In light of public health recommendations related to COVID-19, we have postponed the HACK Baltimore Showcase currently scheduled for May 8-10. HACK Baltimore is a movement, not a one-time event, so please visit our web site and social media channels for information about ways you can get involved remotely for now.
Thank you for your tax deductible donation.
